HYUNDAI
A South Korean automaker building cars since 1967, Hyundai is known for strong value, long warranties, and a fast-improving lineup.
Hyundai began building cars in South Korea in 1967 and spent its first decades competing almost entirely on price. That changed over the 1990s and 2000s: the company invested heavily in engineering and design, backed its cars with an unusually long warranty, and climbed steadily in quality rankings. Today the range runs from the compact Elantra to the Palisade and the Ioniq electric line, and Hyundai is one of the largest automakers in the world.
