SUZUKI
A Japanese manufacturer founded in 1909, Suzuki is known for compact cars and small SUVs built for efficiency and light off-road use.
Founded in 1909 by Michio Suzuki as a maker of weaving looms, Suzuki built its first car, the Suzulight, in 1955 and went on to specialize in small, light and efficient vehicles. The company is a master of the Japanese kei car and of compact off-roaders — the Jimny, sold in the US as the Samurai, earned a following far beyond its size. Suzuki withdrew from the US car market in 2012 but remains one of the world's largest manufacturers of cars and motorcycles.
